Lagerstroemia indica

Experience the beauty of the Lagerstroemia indica (crape Myrtle) year-round. Its most beloved feature for us is its striking smooth bark. This flakes off in a fine manner, creating beautiful spot patterns. Colours range from very light, pinkish brown to darker and purplish brown.

Each specimen and each year exhibits new, picturesque patterns. This makes the Lagerstroemia a real eye catcher even during winter without leaves. The light, smooth bark often provides a beautiful contrast to its surroundings and brightens up the darker days.

The Lagerstroemia indica blooms late in summer with striking pink, white or purple-red flowers. An exuberant bloom for a lovely summer feeling just before autumn arrives.
Depending on the climate and location, the Lagerstroemia will flower subtly or just exuberantly.
Autumn shows one last wonderful feature, as its colouring ranges from yellow, orange to red. The low sun in autumn, combined with the more transparent crown and unique bark, produces stunning pictures.
